We brought Gunner home on Friday morning, January 29, 2010. Hallie was at school when we got home, she had spent the past couple days with Grandma and Grandpa and Steph. Steph left work for a couple hours since she was in Hyrum, so was Hallie at school, and brought Hallie home so she could finally, finally meet baby Gunner! We had him down in the family room, she ran in and glanced at him and said, ok, I want to hold him now! I think when she pictured a baby all this time she pictured a crawling, smiling, giggling baby, not a tiny, tiny boy who sleeps ALL the time and gets pretty onery when he gets his diaper changed or is hungry.
Granny Cathy bought her the cutest Big Sister shirt that she wore to school and has requested to wear at least once a week since. Gunner has a cute little outfit that says little brother on it that he is still a little bit too small for, it will be so cute to get pictures of them in their outfits later.
Overall, Hallie has handled the transition really well. She really enjoys holding him and helping out with him. She really, really wants to carry him, but he's still a little small for that. We've all been sick since he's been born, he's had some issues with his poor eyes, but we've got drops and hope they'll help. Here's some pictures of my two cute Valentines. Both kids were sick and a little onery on Sunday. We went to dinner at my mom's and stayed home from church. Nothing special.
That last shot shows his sad little eyes. Hallie looks so fashionable in Steph's scarf! Little bugger was trying to NOT have her picture taken. Gunner is a good baby who only sqwaks when he's getting his diaper changed and in hungry. Not a fan of the bathtub, but loves having his hair washed. He still has tons of it! We got his pictures taken when he was ten days old, hopefully I'll get those back soon and will post the good ones!
