2

We brought Gunner home on Friday morning, January 29, 2010. Hallie was at school when we got home, she had spent the past couple days with Grandma and Grandpa and Steph. Steph left work for a couple hours since she was in Hyrum, so was Hallie at school, and brought Hallie home so she could finally, finally meet baby Gunner! We had him down in the family room, she ran in and glanced at him and said, ok, I want to hold him now! I think when she pictured a baby all this time she pictured a crawling, smiling, giggling baby, not a tiny, tiny boy who sleeps ALL the time and gets pretty onery when he gets his diaper changed or is hungry.

Granny Cathy bought her the cutest Big Sister shirt that she wore to school and has requested to wear at least once a week since. Gunner has a cute little outfit that says little brother on it that he is still a little bit too small for, it will be so cute to get pictures of them in their outfits later.

Overall, Hallie has handled the transition really well. She really enjoys holding him and helping out with him. She really, really wants to carry him, but he's still a little small for that. We've all been sick since he's been born, he's had some issues with his poor eyes, but we've got drops and hope they'll help. Here's some pictures of my two cute Valentines. Both kids were sick and a little onery on Sunday. We went to dinner at my mom's and stayed home from church. Nothing special.

That last shot shows his sad little eyes. Hallie looks so fashionable in Steph's scarf! Little bugger was trying to NOT have her picture taken. Gunner is a good baby who only sqwaks when he's getting his diaper changed and in hungry. Not a fan of the bathtub, but loves having his hair washed. He still has tons of it! We got his pictures taken when he was ten days old, hopefully I'll get those back soon and will post the good ones!

Not a wig!

Now I may be a little biased (this is Stephanie again) but look how sweet this little boy is! His hair has everybody talking, every nurse that comes in comments. He is just adorable! Still doing well and planning on coming home Friday morning. Hallie absolutely cannot wait!

He's here!

This is Stephanie posting. Lindsay is doing good, glad to have that baby out of her! She wanted us to let everyone know baby boy is here and doing well. Hallie was so excited to hear the news, but I think, even with pictures, she still doesn't believe he is really here. She wants him home NOW! Hopefully, she'll get to see him soon. The delivery was good and fairly short, compared to the twenty hours with Hallie, this one was only 8. Hallie and Gunner were the exact same size at birth, weighed the same and were the same length.
He is just adorable, looks real similar to Hallie when she was born, only he out-hairs her by a ways! He has TONS of dark curly hair, covers his whole head! He has chubby little cheeks and was so calm after delivery, just chillin and taking it all in, giving us all the once over. Can't wait to have him home so Hallie can FINALLY meet this baby we've been talking about for so long! Stay tuned, we'll post more pictures as they come.

If you can't tell, Tony is absolutely in love :) And I didn't get any pictures of Lindsay with Gunner, but she looked great right after, you would never know she had just had a baby. (which was not the case after Hallie) haha love you Lindsay Pinsy you did wonderful!

Baby News

Well, I went to the doctor on Friday and had an ultrasound. Apparently, this little man is a big boy!! He already weighs as much as Hallie did when she was born! So Dr. Horsely decided he will start me on January 27th, if I don't go into labor before then. I have one more appointment this Friday, so we'll see if any progress has been made! Stay tuned....

December

December came and flew by so fast! I can't believe it's already the new year, and that this baby is just weeks away!
Hallie is loving the snow. She loves to get bundled up and play outside with anyone who will play with her. She was super excited to decorate cookies. I am looking forward to when she has a little brother who is old enough to get excited about doing all this with her.

Christmas was so much fun this year. On Christmas Eve, we tried something new and had a brunch at my parents that morning. All the cousins were there for Hallie to play with and it was a lot of fun. Then when Jessica's family went to their traditional Christmas Eve movie, we went to Tony's dad's house, where Hallie was spoiled rotten and so was baby boy too! Tony and I were spoiled as well. It was nice to get together and spend time with Tony's family. Then we ran home to set out cookies and milk for Santa, and Grandma Cathy and Grandpa Doug came to bring by the Christmas Eve jammies! Hallie got Big Sister jammies that are just adorable.
Christmas morning we let Hallie sleep until she was ready and then let her come on down. She was so fun this year! She really understands finally, what with school and all, Santa came to see her at school, so she was really excited. She asked Santa for one big thing...a Get up and Go Pony. She asked Santa for this kinda of late in the year, but she has been so into Cowgirls and horses this year, that Santa just couldn't resist. :)

She doesn't look thrilled in this picture, but she couldn't of been happier when she saw it. She came down the stairs and pretended to faint when she first saw it, then got herself together and ran and hugged it!

She also got an easel that she loves playing school on. This was the best idea Santa ever had, it keeps her attention for hours!
Grandma Cathy and Grandpa Doug and Stephanie came over for breakfast on Christmas morning and to see what Santa brought. We went to Jessica and Kevins later that afternoon to see what Santa brought them, then spent the rest of the afternoon at our Grandma Jensen's with everybody. It was a nice day, not as rushed and busy as most of our Christmas's have been.

On to New Years! Jessica's kids are getting old and all have friends and things to do now on New Years, so we had a low key party with Grandma and Grandpa, Ben and Lauren stopped by and we just hung out and ate. Here is Hallie at 'midnight' (actually 9:30!) We kinda tricked her, but it worked and we were all in bed well before the new year :)

r

On New Years Day, Ben and Lauren came out to Grandpa Jensen's pasture and we went sledding behind the fourwheeler. Hallie loved this and all the kids had a blast! I think Ben and Tony had the most fun though.

Now life has returned to normal. School, dancing, work, playing with friends. We are trying to get the baby's room ready as quickly as possible, I have a doctor's appointment this Friday to see when little boy may make his debut! We are so excited. From the way I blog, most likely the next post will be for baby. Wish us luck!

A Much Needed Update!

Here is our sad attempt at getting a picture up of our new house! We are loving being here and are so happy with it. We love the big garage, the separate TV room and the neighborhood is really nice.

Hallie is loving pre-school! Here she is with the Thanksgiving crafts she made. She loves her new friends she has made and adores her teacher. We are very pleased with Jean Hunter, we have all gone to her and she is a really cute teacher.

We finally buckled down last weekend and got the bedrooms painted. Long story, when we moved in to this house, it had a really cute boy room and a really cute girl room. Of course, Hallie chose the boy room. It was navy blue and red, so really she could have kept it, but the other room was pink walls with purple curtains. Not so good for a baby boy. Hallie's very favorite color in the whole wide world is orange, so once she found out we were painting the baby's room, she asked if she could have her room orange. I had to talk her in to the pink, but she finally gave in and let us do both. It was a loooong two days, but we are really happy with the results. Hallie just loves it! Steph helped us out a ton. Here are the before and afters.

Isn't baby boy's pink room so cute? Here we are beginning the whole weekend of fun, fun, fun. NOT! Painting is NO fun.

Still taped, but you get the idea. Once we get all the junk out of the baby's rooom and get it all set up, I'll take better pictures of both rooms. Baby's room is a light green and light blue, I love how it turned out. Hallie's is a little bright, but she loves it and it actually looks pretty cute.

Yes, Halloween was a month ago, but better late than never, right? Hallie of course was a cowgirl this year. It took us a lot of convincing to tell her that she was indeed a cowgirl and not a cowboy. :) Here she is with her cousins, Tyler was the Grim Reaper, Emily a vampire, Jake a jailbird, Rach a vampire, Adam a skeleton and Kaden was a grumpy teenager. :) Below she is trick or treating with her good friend Riley. We had a fun Halloween.

And now we are finally caught up! Today we had a good time at dinner with my sisters and brother and mom and dad and all the cousins at dinner. I didn't get many pictures, but after dinner we had our first annual Gingerbread House competition! The teams were Adam and Tyler, Hallie and Rachael, Emily and Jessica and Stephanie (with a little help from Kevin). They all worked hard and when they were done everybody voted and the winner was.....Hallie and Rachael! Mom had to scramble around the house when the girls asked, what is out prize?. Haha, but she came up with prizes that they were very happy with and then of course, everybody else needed a prize too. :) It was a good Thanksgiving. I am thankful for my family and the fun times we have together. I'm thankful for my little immediate fam, my husband and daughter and new baby we are anxiously awaiting! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

SOLD

We bought a house! We closed this past Monday, September 21 and got the keys on Wednesday. (Long story there.) It was a quick process, I was driving around one day with my mom and Hallie, we saw the house, grabbed an info sheet, made an appointment for the next day, saw it, loved it, offered on a Thursday and we were under contract on Monday! It is just our size, big enough to welcome one more baby and very nice. Hallie is very excited about her new room! It's right next to Woodruff Elementary, which will be good for us next year. Pictures to come! We are moving and everything is in a mess right now. :)
